    • Also on this day, Ella Hunt and Adrian Blake Enscoe broke down Sue and Austin's 'non-traditional' relationship and the beauty in Sue's messiness.[102]
  • On December 23, 2021, someone asked if it was truly in the script or if Anna Baryshnikov just fall and they left it in?💀 in the series finale. To which Anna replied she had indeed fallen.[103]
  • On December 24, 2021, Steinfeld mentioned that despite the series finale of “Dickinson” being available to stream on Apple TV+, and for as much as fans are struggling with saying goodbye, she is struggling just as much, if not more. In fact, Steinfeld admits that she may need a bit of time before she can even bring herself to watch it...[104]
  • On December 25, 2021, Smith was asked what her top three episodes from the entire series were. She quickly responded that it was too hard, so instead she wen onto highlight one from each season such as: the circus episode in Season 1 Episode 7:We lose - because we win🎪, the opera episode in Season 2, Episode 6:Split the Lark 🕊 and the time travel episode in Season 3, Episode 7: The Future never spoke.🌪 She also said that an honorable mention goes to every ep with a dance party in it 👯‍♀️.[105]
  • On December 26, 2021, Smith mentioned that she's not going to stop being proud of the fact that she effectively redistributed wealth from the biggest corporation on Earth (i.e. Apple TV+) to a very small museum in the home of a historically neglected American female poet.[106]
  • On December 27, 2021, Smith also mentioned that when it comes to Blu-rays for all three seasons of Dickinson is that they can't legally make them until a year from the time that the series finale airs.[107]
  • On December 29, 2021, Smith went onto mention in a tweet that Dickinson exposes the seamy underbelly of 19th century American poetry.[108]
  • On January 2, 2022, when it came to crafting the final scene of the Apple TV+ show, Smith, said that, “I was sort of haunted by that line ‘The mermaids in the basement / Came out to look at me,’ and I see the mermaids as a symbol of female creativity and also as a symbol of something that can never quite be reached but is always calling to you. Similarly the act of rowing, that is something that you hear in different poems of Emily’s. I think it’s hopefully a visual statement about female agency and female creativity and the sort of siren call of all the poems that she has yet to write.”[109]
